Santa is coming to Shackerstone!
Our ever-popular festive trains will begin running at the end of November and throughout December. Jump on board our decorated heritage steam train and Santa and his elves will visit everyone on board during the 90 minute journey. Food and drink is available to purchase from our on-board team without even leaving your seat.
There are 3 departure times each day;
1130 , 1400 and 1630 (no 1630 service on 24/12)

Our bronze package is based in our 'open style' coach. The coach is festively decorated and has a great atmosphere, especially when Santa and his elves arrive! Santa will visit each group on board and say hello, then hand a small gift to all the children on board. All adults will get a complimentary mince pie and each child will receive some sweets during the journey. This package is well-liked by larger groups as the coach will seat up to 64 people, and also more cost-effective for those on a budget who want to enjoy the sight & smell of a steam train and visit Santa.

After you arrive at Shackerstone station you will be shown to your private, decorated compartment on board our heritage steam train. There will be some sweets and juice waiting for the children, and adults will receive a glass of wine and a tasty mince pie - just make sure you eat it before Santa comes to see you, he loves his mince pies!
Santa and his elves will visit you in your compartment and say hello to everyone before talking to the children and handing them each a great present.
Note: Compartment capacity is between 4-8. For larger groups, please book multiple compartments and we will endeavour to assign adjoining compartments on the train (eg: for a group of 12, please book 2 x 6 person compartments)

Our flagship experience.
When you slide open your private compartment door you will see that Santa's elves have already been and left you a large hamper full of treats! A large selection of sweet & savoury snacks to enjoy along with plenty of drinks for everyone. This is all in addition to what is received as part of the Silver package.

Santa Specials Terms and Conditions:
-All Santa Special trains depart from and return to Shackerstone Station.
-Please allow adequate time to park and walk to the station before your booked departure time. We are not able to hold departure of trains for late arrivals. We recommend you arrive a minimum of 20 minutes before your scheduled departure time.
-Customers are allocated seats, so please check that you book the full number in the party at the same time. Later bookings can not be guaranteed to have seats near any prior booking.
-Changes to bookings will incur a £10 administration fee (such as changing dates, times, passenger details etc...)
-Cancelled bookings will not be refunded. However, with more than 7 days notice to your booked date, we will endeavour to transfer your booking to another service upon payment of a £10 administration fee. Should this not be possible due to no further availability, or with less than 7 days notice, no refund or exchange will be given.
-No refunds can be provided for visitors who do not arrive in time for the booked departure time of their train or event.
-Our trains may be either steam or diesel hauled and we will endeavour to use the locomotive advertised but this is subject to availability.
-Every effort will be made to run trains according to this timetable, but unforeseen circumstances may entail alterations or cancellations.
-The railway operators can accept no liability for such cancellations or late running of any train and reserves the right to vary the provisions without prior notice. E&OE.
-Accessibility -Due to the design of the historic coaches used for our services, wheelchairs cannot gain access to the passenger areas of the coaches. If a member of your party is a wheelchair user, please call to discuss your specific requirements before making a booking.
- We regret that dogs cannot travel on our Santa Special trains.
- Any gifts purchased from this website are non-refundable (this includes, but not limited to, "Footplate Rides", "Footplate Experiences", "Gift Vouchers" etc...)
